Building a Future Through Skills and Education

In Liberia, many women face significant barriers to education, employment and economic independence. We believe that giving women access to practical education and vocational skills can create opportunities that extend far beyond the classroom.

For this reason, we built a technical college specifically for women, with capacity for up to 50 women at a time.

The college provides women with the opportunity to learn practical skills that can help them create a livelihood and become more independent. Training includes areas such as tailoring and sewing, hairdressing and beauty, cooking and hospitality, as well as other vocational skills.

A woman who learns a trade may be able to find employment, start her own small business or use her skills to generate an income for herself and her family. In this way, education can become a foundation for greater independence and stability.
